WHY GO ORGANIC AND IS IT BETTER THAN NON-ORGANIC?

 Abstract: The world has been shifting its emphasis toward clean, fresh, and organic food. Don’t we need a little of self-control and knowledge in terms of what is adequate for our health and what is not? Of course, we do! This is why Organically processed food items are very promising for health and the environment too.



WHAT IS MEANT BY THE TERM “ORGANIC” –

The word ‘organic’ conveys the meaning that something is pure and produced naturally by adding chemicals or preservatives to it and in a sustainable manner. Organically processed food or any product has been in demand for years but not many of us were conscious of it. We were eating adulterated and chemical-induced food till the time we faced its repercussion during the pandemic and our immunity was affected. Starting late or early, but getting on organic in eating inclination means boosting the nutritional value and organic flavor of the food which is lost during the process of manufacturing. 

The organic products are freshly picked up from nature by trained farmers and then they go through a very minimal step of processing which keeps all the vitamins and minerals intact without adding any chemicals or preservatives to it. This is further packed in a very hygienic manner and forwarded to the distributor to make it available for the consumers. Thus, switching to organic food is the most sensible and better alternative.


ORGANIC V/S NON-ORGANIC

People who have been addicted to food products that are readied by adding harmful things like Ajinomoto to enrich the taste have never tried something organic yet flavorsome. This has been a subject of debate ever since because of the psyche people carry- there is one life so eat what you want. No, this should not be our motto instead, we should think that we have only one life so why not live it with good health and a fresh mind? Organic food is always light on the stomach and all the vital nutrients which are mentioned in the food packets are restored. 

Imagine consuming a bottle of honey that has been prepared by adding extra sweeteners and chemicals to it and then tasting organic honey which is taken from bee hives in nature and no added preservatives are added to it. Stating the obvious, the person engulfing organic honey will be able to keep up with the health and also maintain their weight. Also, it is a scientifically proven fact that organically produced food items are more nutritious as compared to adulterated food products. 

BENEFITS OF ORGANICALLY PREPARED FOOD ITEMS- 

  • Nitrate level is lower- Organically grown food items like wheat, rice, etc. are low in nitrates and thus, healthy for us.

  • Free of Adulteration – The food items which are made by use of sugar, chemicals, and preservatives are very risky for our bodies, and those produced organically have no such harmful chemicals and fulfill all our nutritional requirements. 

  • The environment is not harmed in any manner during the processing of organic food items. 

  • Conventional food items can cause slow death and other life-threatening diseases, while organic food maintains the required vitamins and minerals in our bodies.

  • Helps to keep our digestion proper and resolves the issue of constipation in children or adults.

CONCLUSION

There are numerous reasons why we should be conscious of our heating habits and choose only organic food products over conventionally prepared ones. The nutritional value of organic food is very high compared to adulterated food items. This is why we should choose every organic if possible in terms of food and health.
